Little man loves bubbles. When he’s in the bath he loves playing with the bubbles and scooping them into his hand. This weekend we decided to buy him a bubble machine.

He loves it and asks me constantly for it to be on. Have to be careful though as it makes our floor so slippery.

The World of popagami Review

Posted by Blogging Mummy on April 21, 2013

A few years ago I tried to do some simple Origami and I didn’t do very well with it. So when I got the chance to review Popagami I thought I would give it a go and see what happens.

I was sent an Animal fun activity book. Included is 12 different animals Including Cleo the Cat, Monty the mountain Lion and Teddy the Tiger. Below shows how the animals look before they are folded. They come as flat thin sheets as glossy paper ready to be folder into a little animal.

The different Animals that are included

Me not being the best at this sort of thing was worried about how I would get on. I opened the booklet that shows you how to fold each animal. Each animal is folder the exact same. I started to do my folds and follow the booklet and at one point I got very stuck. Luckily I was with my mum at the time who had a look and showed me how it was done. Once you have folded your first animal it really is very easy. If you are really struggling there is a video on the website.

This is great way to spend time with the children and once they have finished folding the animal they have something which they have made. Now my Little Man is too small to do this and I would say that a child aged 4.5 years + would suit this very well. The child may not be able to follow the instructions at that age but they can fold with an adult who can let me follow each step.

I have taken a couple of pictures to you show the folding of the animals at a couple of different stages. One you have folded the animal to the finish, there is a little hole in the back which you blow in, this blows the animal out and you will then have your finished animal.

From starting to fold to being finished took us about 7-8 minutes. I really like these animals and they it is a great was to keep the kids entertained.

There are other different animals that you can buy. If you would think that your children would love this, take a look at the website and make your choice of what you would like to buy HERE.

The book of animals we were sent retails at £7.99 which I think is really good value. You get 2 sheets of each animal for this price and it is good fun folding and seeing the finished animal. You can also download from the website from 20p and print off your own animals at home which I think is a great idea.
