Little man is now 19 months old. His bedroom that he was in, was getting to small for him. He had a cot, wardrobe and a changing table with draws in his room. There was just about room for me to walk between the cot and the wardrobe. The cot was almost the length of the room. You can now imagine how small it was. My partner and I had decided that after Christmas we were going to move him into the bigger room, which is a lot bigger. You can fit two double beds in it and still have space to walk around them both.
Christmas day came and went and the amount of toys little mad received was silly. We had no room at all to store them all. We finally got round to moving his room this week. So he can now have some of his toys in his bedroom and some of his toys downstairs. He is so into Fireman Sam, so we bought him some fireman Sam curtains and a picture for his wall, along with various other things to make his room more boys ish rather than baby ish. After all my baby is growing up now and to us he is more like a little boy now rather than a baby.
The first couple of nights was difficult. He did not settle very well and cried and cried when I put him to bed. The last 2 nights and tonight have been great though. He has gone to bed and settled straight away. I am assuming he now likes his new room, and just need a couple of nights to settle into it. I can not believe where the time is going. Our little man is growing up so fast and time is flying by. This is one of the reasons I wanted to write this blog, so we can look back and not forget anything we did.
To little man, who now is in his big boys bedroom…
