It was only 6 weeks ago that I took little man to get some new shoes. He had gone from a size 4.5 to a 5.5. I bought him some really nice Clarks shoes which cost me £40. This is fine though as I want him to have some nice comfy shoes for his little feet.
Yesterday as I was walking past the shoe shop, I decided to pop in and get his feet measured again. Just to be on the safe side. He is growing so fast at the moment. Not for one minute did I think he would need any new shoes though. The lady measured his feet and said he is a size 6.5. I was really shocked that he had gone up another full size in just over 6 weeks. I had no choice but to get him some new shoes.
So as I am sure you all know Clarks shoes are not cheap. The shoes we choose we £42. Little man really liked them and they were lovely and flexible, so when he’s running about in them outside and at nursery they are really comfy for him.
Here is a picture of the shoes that cost me as much as I pay for shoes.
£42 shoes for little man and £42 shoes for me

It shocking how much children’s shoes cost isn’t it. My little monkey needed new shoes every 8 weeks for just over a year, but luckily he’s slowed down to shows every 16 weeks now! he’s only 3. Luckily for us, we live near a large designer outlet village, he only ‘normal’ shop left there is Clarks, so we can get decent shoes for a discount; but still £20.00 +/- a go. Monkey takes after his Dad who has size 14 shoes – going to cost me a fortune
its crazy isnt it. I dont even buy shoes this often for my self ha ha. Really not fair
I heard a rumour that if your little one grows out of a pair of Clark’s shoes within three months they upgrade you to the next size free of charge. Mine doesn’t wear clarks (long story) but surely worth checking out?!
